There are many kinds of Roots

You have spent two weeks masterfully building relationships and laying those social emotional roots for your students. Remember that greeting at the door in the morning goes a long way! Now we move on to laying those academic roots. Students need to feel that they belong here academically as well as socially. This does not mean that every student masters or exceeds every standard, but it does mean that they are getting what they need to access the standards. Whether it is scaffolding or extension, giving students what they need makes them feel like they belong. When we finish assessment we will have some more information- an additional piece of the puzzle, but not all of the puzzle. It takes multiple pieces of data to get the full picture. Thank you for all you do!

Thank you for welcoming students Ms. Guza!
